The 9th Annual Breyer Lecture: Russia's Aggression against Ukraine and the International Legal Order

At the Brookings Institution and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies' 9th Annual Breyer Lecture, Martin Kimani joined a panel on Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the international legal order, alongside Rosa Brooks and Karin Landgren, moderated by Scott R. Anderson. Speaking as Kenya's Permanent Representative to the UN, he addressed the breach of the UN Charter implicit in the invasion, drawing on the same postcolonial framing of sovereignty and borders he had developed the previous year in his UN Security Council statement on Ukraine.
