Amb. Martin Kimani Presents His Credentials to the United Nations Secretary-General
Formal act beginning his tenure as Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations
Martin Kimani presented his credentials as Kenya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations to the UN Secretariat on December 3, 2020, formally beginning his tenure. Because of UN COVID-19 protocols in effect at the time, the presentation was conducted virtually rather than in the customary in-person format. The Permanent Mission of Kenya's own YouTube channel published footage of the ceremony under the title "Amb. Martin Kimani presents his credentials to the United Nations Secretary General." Eleven days later, on December 14, 2020, Kimani paid a courtesy call on Secretary-General António Guterres, an occasion already documented elsewhere in this archive.
